What is laser engraving?
Laser engraving is the practice of using lasers to engrave an object. Laser marking, on the other hand, is a broader category of methods to leave marks on an object, which also includes color change due to chemical/molecular alteration, charring, foaming, melting, ablation, and more.
What are the benefits of laser engraving/marking?
Quality: Clear, legible and permanent engravings are left that can be easily read by both humans and machines, making them ideal for whatever applications they’re being used for.
Environmentally Friendly: Engraving with lasers is much more environmentally-friendly than many competitor products. It leaves very little waste behind, as most is vaporised, and safely vented. This is unlike the harmful waste that other processes leave.
Broad Spectrum: Laser engraving is a process that dozens of industries around the world have adopted for hundreds of varying processes and products. From creating industrial instructional plates to creating personalized items for pets, it’s a process that benefits businesses and individuals alike.
